UNISEX
Carnation • Spice • Rose
Inspired by the drawers of the sacristy of the Basilica of San Marco in Venice.
A composition with an almost oriental character, echoing the rare spices that once arrived by sea to the lagoon city. The word spice, from the Latin species, speaks of special and valuable goods, treasures carried across waters to Venice.
There, master spice merchants experimented with these precious ingredients, weighing and blending them with care before offering them in small pouches known as Venetian bags. From that moment, Venice and much of the world could no longer imagine life without these aromatic riches.
They were not used solely to flavor food. Within the golden mosaic walls of the cathedral, they perfumed sacred rites, adding solemnity, depth, and a sense of preciousness to the rituals unfolding beneath its domes.
